Reference Post- In honor of July, I’m offering the Texas BBQ Road Trip

These are all great places for BBQ. I’ve never eaten at their top choice, Snow’s BBQ in Lexington, Tx, where the line is long and must be worth the wait. One place I have been to is The Salt Lick near Austin, Tx. Its very good with great BBQ and mouth watering sides. Plenty of tables and the wait can be long but well worth it. One place they don’t mention that’s off the beaten path in west Texas is Lum’s BBQ in Junction off of I-10. I’m not a big brisket fan, but theirs is exceptional. The pork tender loin is melt in your mouth good. The sides I recommend are the corn casserole and potato salad. Enjoy! Come hungry to these places and bring enough money, or other forms of payment, it ain’t cheap. The line at Lum’s is manageable and goes fast. Also, check out the desserts. My thanks to The Daytripper for sharing.
